CARTAGE OF DANGEROUS GOODS

Click here to download: Shipping documents for dangerous goods pdf.

This document is a requirement of the Australian Dangerous Goods code. It is required that the document be completed in CLEAR, LEGIBLE, PRINTED ENGLISH so that packages can be identified quickly and easily in the event of an accident.

This document must be completed fully and accurately by an authorised company representative and have relevant Emergency Procedure guide (EPG) AND Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) attached.

If required, copy the form and use 2 pages as all information must be supplied for all packages in the shipment.

The completed documents must be faxed to ABS Courier Services on 07 3274 6066 prior to collection of the goods and the original presented to the ABS driver before the freight is loaded and the vehicle leaves the senders premises. This will ensure that we meet current Australian Dangerous Goods Code (seventh edition) requirements, thereby avoiding the high penalties currently imposed for incorrect shipping documentation. This procedure must be carried out for all ABS jobs involving the movement of Dangerous/Hazardous Goods.

If you require help with the correct Technical Details for Emergency Documentation please contact our office as we are able to obtain this information. If you would like to refer to the Australian Dangerous Goods Code please contact our office as we have a copy of the latest edition.
